Short, no-pressure call. We'll talk through whether small group training is right for you.
What Is Small Group Personal Training in Leicester?
Small group personal training — sometimes known as semi-private personal training — is exactly what it sounds like: you train alongside a small group of people (max 10, average 6), but you're coached individually.
Your programme is personalised to you — your goals, your injuries, your current fitness level. The coach adjusts weights, reps, and exercises for each person in the group.
Everyone in the session is working on their own programme. Your coach knows exactly what you're doing, what you should be lifting, and what progression you're working towards. You're coached individually — you just happen to be training alongside others.
Maximum 10 people. Average 6. That means your coach has the time and attention to actually coach you properly. You're not one of 30 people in a big room being shouted at by someone with a microphone.
Most of our small group clients are over 40. Many are returning to fitness after years focused on work and family. You're not training alongside 25-year-olds doing burpees — you're training with people who understand exactly where you're at.
Is Small Group Personal Training Right For You?
Most people who choose small group personal training in Leicester are looking for one or more of these things:
If any of those sound familiar — you're in the right place.
What Small Group Training in Leicester Isn't — And Why That Matters
Let's be clear about what this isn't — because that's just as important as what it is.
A Bootcamp
You're not being screamed at by an instructor trying to break you. The intensity is appropriate to where you're at. Your coach knows your name, your limitations, and your goals.
A Choreographed Fitness Class
You're not following along with a routine on a screen. You're not doing synchronised movements in a dark room with loud music. You're training with a coach who's watching you and correcting your form.
Circuit Training or Spin
You're not rotating through stations on a timer. You're not cycling in formation. You're doing proper strength training — progressive, coached, designed to build muscle and improve your health markers.
F45 or Big Gym Group Fitness
Those are classes. Everyone does the same thing. The instructor can't possibly give you individual attention because there are 30+ people in the room. That's not what this is.
What Happens in a Small Group Personal Training Session?
Every session is 60 minutes. Here's the structure:
mins
Not just generic stretching. Specific movements designed to prepare your body for the session ahead and reduce the aches, pains, and stiffness that come with being over 40.
mins
This is the core of the session. Your coach takes you through your programme — exercises chosen specifically for you, progressed at the right pace for your body. Whilst you're working through your programme, the person next to you is doing theirs. Different exercises, different weights, different progressions. Your coach moves between each person, watching, correcting, adjusting.
mins
The final block gets your heart rate up without breaking you. It's challenging, it's fun, and it's appropriate to your fitness level. You leave energised, not exhausted.
You train 2–4 times per week depending on your goals and schedule. We'll recommend the right frequency during your free consultation.
What 90 Days of Small Group Personal Training Actually Does
These aren't vague promises. These are the results our clients actually achieve.

- The habit is established Training becomes part of your routine. You don't need willpower anymore — you just show up
- Improved health markers Blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol — results that show up in your GP bloodwork
- You look forward to it Because of the people you're training with, not just the results you're getting
What Our Small Group Clients Say

I look forward to coming in. It's not just about the training — it's the people. You push each other without even realising you're doing it.

Exercise saved me — physically and mentally. The group environment is one of the key reasons I've stayed consistent. The structure, the familiar faces, the accountability — it all adds up.

The group sessions are different. There's an energy. You're all working hard together. It keeps you honest.
