ROB EBERLEIN
Rob initially got in to fitness to improve his physique, and become more toned. He became inspired by the likes of Thor and Rocky Balboa. While his physique and strength progressed he fell in love with not just the training, but also to the nutrition and scientific side of health and fitness. While watching Youtube videos and reading articles by established professionals in the industry, Rob began to realise there were so many false myths and bad advice being passed through the media and people within the gym so he began his career in the fitness industry, to help dispel bad information and make people achieve their goals. Rob now specializes in working with the busy men and women who attend our studio to lose fat, improve their confidence and boost their natural energy levels.
Part of who we are at Transformation Fit is to Be More, Give More, Grow More.
That’s why we’ve partnered with The Gambia Education Project – A Leicester based charity run by local people who have a GLOBAL IMPACT on peoples live’s.
The United Nations have set 17 global goals for sustainable development to be achieved by 2030 and part of TF’s mission is to help tackle the goal of Quality Education for all.
That’s why at Transformation Fit we continually contribute to The Gambia Education Project and have sponsored 8 children to access education this year in 2017 so far.
In October 2015 I was invited down to a Rugby match at the Leicester Tigers Stadium, by two of our clients, this was no normal match though as Dave & Mandy held a corporate table which included tickets to the match, a 3 course meal, entertainment and free drinks!
After we had some food and some drinks (Dave thought it was hilarious to continually order pint after pint of cider for his Personal Trainer to drink). As we headed out to the stands with our coats on and a cup of coffee in hand (infused with whiskey of course)… Dave wasn’t letting me get away with having just a coffee, we began to watch the game.
Throughout the game me & Dave were chatting about the trips we had both been on, how him and Mandy climbed Kilimanjaro, and we came on the subject of The Gambia. Dave told me how him and Mandy had visited every year for the last 11 years and how they worked closely with a charity which helped disadvantaged children access education in the Gambia which their parents otherwise couldn’t afford (schools aren’t free until age 11 in Gambia). I immediately felt inspired and I remember thinking “how awesome would it be to make that kind of impact’.
We spoke more and more and I mentioned I would love to sponsor a child and within a few months I had received my first report card from Mohammed and his teachers telling me how well he was doing at school. It gave me a great sense of fulfilment knowing what a difference I had made to this 5 year olds life.
Fast forward to February 2017, myself, Dave & Mandy, and my friend Mitch headed out to The Gambia for some winter sun and to meet the kids, visit the school and get a taste of the Gambia Experience… The poverty was hard to comprehend and the amount of people begging for handouts from tourists pained me to see, all the more reinforcing the need for more quality education so that the people can set themselves free through knowledge.
Upon my return I made the decision to partner up with Dave & Mandy who are the trustees of the charity (The Gambia Education Project) and to this day (26th July 2017) we have sponsored 8 children to access quality eduction in The Gambia and we plan on doing big things in the future with them.
As they say “knowledge is power” and through helping these people acquire knowledge we can empower them to be more, give more and grow more themselves.
