Here are just three easy things to help you lose weight outside of the gym. These three basic things are core in assisting you in losing weight.
Let’s go over the basics and the 1-0-1 in losing weight and staying healthy!
Number One: Water
Such an easy thing, many of us struggle to remember to do. It covers the majority of our planet and is the number one base in helping you lose weight.
Dehydration is a major craving contributor- make sure to carry a water bottle with you everywhere you go! We reccomend you drink 1l per 25kg of body weight.
Number Two: Sleep
A good night’s sleep is a key factor in helping lose weight. A proper seven to eight-hour sleep ensures that all bodily functions are carried out in a proper manner.
Improper sleep can give rise to cravings and further can lead to weight gain.
Number Three: Energy Balance
Going beyond 5+ hours without eating can make your blood sugar levels drop and can cause cravings for some people.
The golden rule is to try and keep your snacks to 50 kcal:
2 Cups of plain popcorn
Half a protein yoghurt
In its simplest terms, weight loss all boils down to your own individual ‘energy balance’. This simply means that consuming more energy (calories) than you are burning=weight gain and inversly buring more than you are consuming=weight loss!
There are many different diets out there but fundementally they all achieve the same outcome when done correctly.
If you’re not losing weight then you need to either: consume less calories, or burn more calories through activity.
