After all the media hype recently regarding red meat causing cancer I decided to write this short blog to settle the score, and help clear up some of the confusion around this topic!
RED MEAT DOES NOT CAUSE CANCER. Its like saying smoking causes cancer – if that was true everybody who smoked would get cancer (which they don’t).
Nothing “causes” cancer. `Pretty much everything you consume puts you at an increase risk of cancer, in fact I’ve posted below the link to a scientific study which shows that (I kid you not) “Eating anything at anytime increases risk of colon cancer”

Now before we all get our knickers in a twist, research shows that eating more fruit and veg, and exercising and generally leading a healthy lifestyle reduces all these risks so If you’re eating a bit of red meat each day but you’re eating fruit and vegetables regularly and exercising, you’ve got absolutely nothing to worry about.
Its just more scaremongering from the media! Don’t worry too much!
